Review & Giveaway - xtra xtra (Win an iPod Touch)

In Their Words:
"At xtraxtra.com, you can stay up-to-date with news and milestones taking place in your hometown and communities with which you are connected.

xtra xtra founder Paul J. Rooney was born and raised in the tight-knit community of South Boston, Massachusetts. When Paul moved out of South Boston, he found it difficult to keep in touch with people and events in the area. After discussing this dilemma with Peg Rooney, Paul’s mother and a frequent patron of local news, the idea for xtra xtra was born. At xtra xtra, users have the ability to stay up-to-date with news and life events in various locations from a single website. Users can also share their own photos and personal milestones with the communities to which they feel connected. xtra xtra enables users to remain connected to the people and communities that matter most to them, regardless of geographical location."

My Thoughts:
Xtra xtra is a great new website where you can share your personal and family milestones and share your photos. It a great way to stay connected and keep your family, especially family that you live far away from, up to date on everything.

They can even help you find people that you have lost touch with. What I thought was really cool was you can enter your zip code and view all the announcements that people have posted in your area. They also have a forum for each city.

You can post and list Milestones such as: Births, Adoptions, Engagements, Weddings, Birthdays and many more.

Have I mentioned its free!? It's a great way to stay in touch and it's right at your finger tips.

What a great idea -- kudos, Mr Rooney! As someone that moved a lot, I love that this site gives me the chance to keep up with what's going on (good, bad and otherwise) in communities I used to call home. Very cool.

  170. I think the site has a very clean look which is what I prefer in business/retail/news/professional sites. So, big thumbs up there. I was also shocked that it brought up news from my very small city! LOVE IT! Thumbs up indeed!

  186. I visted xtraxtra.com and I am IMPRESSED!
I live in GA, moved here in 1998.. I put in my Long Island NY zip code and immediately popped out all the Weddings, Engagments, Obituaries, and all the information a cyber Sleuth like me could ever want!!! It takes me forever to find this stuff on Google!!!!

I am looking forward to having MORE High Schools added!

The Site is very easy to navigate also. A HUE Plus
